dlinkrouter.local : How To Solve dlinkrouter.local Not Working Error?

    in General Discussions

Before the Dlink setup process, a user has to make sure to position his router in an optimal location from where it can fetch a maximum number of Wi-fi signals. Users are recommended to place their router in a properly ventilated area so that no other signals can interrupt the Wi-fi connection between your router and the computer. Experts advise users to perform the dlinkrouter.local setup process through the wired connection using the Ethernet cable connecting your router to the computer.

Here are the troubleshooting steps to resolve the dlinkrouter.local issue

    1. Make sure there is a stable Internet connection in the router. If your device is not connected to a Wi-fi connection, that may be the reason for the above issue.

    2. You have to make sure that you typed down the correct Wireless credentials during the connection process. You can fetch default wireless credentials from the back of your device.

    3. Try disconnecting the Dlink router from the currently connected devices, connect them again to the router using the correct Wireless credentials.

    4. Make sure you are using certified browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer while accessing the dlinkrouter.local interface. If you are not, switch to any of the mentioned browsers.

    5. If you are typing dlinkrouter.local on the address bar of a browser, try to switch to the LAN IP address of the router. The default IP address of a Dlink router is 192.168.1.1

    6. Make sure your computer is not currently connected to any other wireless connections. Other network connections may cause interruption while accessing the dlinkrouter.local.

    7. Reboot all the devices connected to the router. Wait for at least 2 minutes and connect them again..

    8. Sometimes when the cache memory gets piled up in a browser, it may create the dlinkrouter.local issue. Erase the history and memory of the browser using the Settings tab.

    9. Deactivate the firewall, ad blockers, and any other antivirus software activate on the computer for a temporary basis. It may be a possible reason for the above issue.

    10. If in any chance all the above options don’t resolve the issue, try to factory reset the Dlink router. Hold the reset button on the back of your router for 10 seconds until the Power LED flashes

When the reset process is done, the router automatically restarts. The process removes all the configuration settings from the router after which you need to reconfigure the router.

The http extender linksys com login page can be used to access the Linksys repeater settings management wizard online. You can type the same in the address bar of the web browser and use the default access credentials to further gain access to the repeater settings wizard and configure the network settings.
